Family Channel wants you to Stand UP! for Bullying Awareness Week. For the twelfth annual Stand Up! anti-bullying campaign, Family Channel is teaming up with Eleven Past One and stars from The Next Step to promote bullying prevention.
This year’s Stand Up! anthem is “I’m Ready (Stand Up Edit)” by Canadian band Eleven Past One. Eleven Past One are no strangers to Family Channel as they were performers at last year’s Big Ticket Summer Concert. The song speaks to the bystanders and friends of bullying victims that can offer support, and aims to encourage listeners to create a safe community where people can overcome obstacles and issues together.
Family Channel will be travelling coast-to-coast and bringing four schools Stand UP! rallies. Encouraging an interactive discussion led by PREVNet, the rally is designed to educate youth on how to prevent bullying. Stringing the rally together, will be Stand Up! hosts Alexandra Beaton and Jennie Pappas from Family Channel’s The Next Step.
Make sure to tune into Family Channel all throughout November for new bullying-themed episodes from a variety of shows. As well, Family Channel will air special messages from musicians and stars giving their own advice and bullying experiences. During Bullying Awareness Week, November 17th to November 23rd, Family Channel will debut exclusive footage from the 2014 Rally Tour.
